This often results in your heating system not operating correctly and radiators not heating sufficiently. People don’t always realise that a heating system will only work to its best ability if it is clean which is why a power flush is recommended.
The procedure takes a day and involves connecting power flush equipment to your heating system. Then the powerflush cleaner is added and the sludge and iron oxides in your system will start to loosen. All radiators and pipework are power flushed independantly alongside the boiler and hot water coil until the water is clean.
A corrosion inhibitor is then added to clean the water. In some cases a magnaclean and filter will need to be fitted.
Boiler manufacturers now insist that all heating systems should be power flushed before installing a new boiler otherwise their guarantee they offer will be deemed invalid.
Benefits of a powerflush
- A more efficient system
- Saving on Fuel bills
- Warmer, more efficient radiators
- Better circulation
- Quieter system
